On Saturday, the company carried out field visits to the tomato crop “Memouna” in Bani Al-Harith district in Sana’a governorate for a number of farmers in order to closely evaluate this variety and take the farmers’ opinions and compare it with the competing varieties in the Yemeni market.
This visit comes within the framework of the company’s keenness to provide the best types of seeds to Yemeni farmers, in line with their needs and desires. “Maymouna” is a new tomato variety in the Yemeni market, and it is still not well known to farmers.
During this visit, farmers were familiarized with the variety’s experiences, its suitability for Yemen’s climatic conditions, and its production potential.
The company will also compare ‘Maymouna’ with other tomato varieties available in the market in terms of fruit quality, disease resistance, ripening time, and other important factors.
