Purpose of these visits: To evaluate the suitability of three tomato varieties for the Yemeni climate and market
Background: These trials have been under field observation, and data is currently being collected and evaluated to produce a comprehensive report on the adaptability of these varieties to local environmental conditions and market preferences.
Visit Observations: The visit included three experimental tomato variety sites in Sana’a Governorate. The growth characteristics, disease resistance, and yield of each variety were examined.
Data on environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and rainfall rates, was collected. Interviews with farmers were conducted to gather their opinions on the performance of each variety.
